Yesterday I went and shot some surf for about an hour at a spot on the North Coast of NSW. The waves have been pumping on the east coast for what seems like weeks and this was one of my first chances to sneak of and get some quick shots.

I watched a clip today and I was amazed at how similar this wave was to Snapper, In 2010 Snapper Rocks had really good banks and the waves on some of the days were amazing, some of the most perfect below sea level waves I have seen. Here is a few shots from that day and the clip as well.

The Gold Coast was given pumping waves for the Easter break and I spent the last 2 days shooting down in Coolangatta. I would like to thank Carool Holiday Apartments for letting me shoot from their roof top! If you want to stay some where with amazing views definitely stat at Carool! Best view on the Gold Coast.

Looking at the Swellnet surf forecast this morning, it looks like Gold Coasters are going to be treated to a great run of waves. All week looks to be great with Thursday into Friday set to be Epic on the points.

Yesterday I went to Burlight Point as I heard it had been good in previous days, when I got there it was cranking! The cove was perfect and even Kelly Slater was there in on the action as well.

Today I went down to the Quiksilver Pro at Snapper Rocks, It was round 2 and the waves were not perfect but definitely contestable. The stand out for me was Josh Kerr, to me Kerr has the full package and I look forward to seeing how high on the ratings he can climb this year.

Today was the first time that i have shot surf in over 6 months and it was great to get out and shoot it again, there was a good swell and pumping waves early in the morning but soon after the wind got into it and that was it for the day.
